How do I restore my files if I lose them or if they are damaged?

Go to the restore tab and restore files, oldest to newest from the last full backup.

How do I restore my data?
A restore may involve anything from a single file to an entire system. The graphical user interface of the Remote Backup Spftware lets you select individual files or folders for restoration. There is also a search utility that allows you to scan an entire catalog using a file specification mask that may include wildcards. If you have a catastrophic loss and no operating system, you must first install your base o/s, service packs, and network drivers then re-install the BackupLasVegas.com Remote Backup software. The software will ask for your encryption key. Once this is done, you can connect to the BackupLasVegas.com servers, recreate your local catalogs and proceed to initiate restores. You can also request that your data be placed on CD and physically sent to you.

Can I restore to an alternate location to avoid overwriting a file?
Yes. This first option during the restore procedure is to decide the location of the restoration.

What is meant by online versus offline restores?
Data restored over the network link is an online restore. Data restored using a delivery service and some form of media is an offline restore. Any restore may be initiated online, but if the quantity of data is such that the restore time would be too great, clients have the option of having data placed on physical media and sent to them.

Is there a charge to restore my data?
You may pay usage charges for any online transfers, please consult with your ISP if needed. If you require us to generate physical media and courier or mail it to you, there may be additional charges. Please contact us for details.
